What does an educational technology specialist do? In general, we seek to identify and present the best uses of various media and technology tools to other educators or researchers.

What does an instructional designer do? Typically, this is a collaborative role working with subject matter experts to translate their knowledge into effective instructional presentations.

Currently I work as part of a research and instruction team within an academic library that supports teaching, learning, and scholarship activities for faculty and students at a Boston area university. In addition to collaborations with other educators, I have worked on teams that design and deliver web-based learning experiences, classroom video documentation, and software training.
